Lake Tahoe History Museum 530.541.5458
Our 1930s Log Cabin exhibit as it looked decorated for Christmas, 2023.
Volunteer Anita Limbird worked her magic to transform the cabin's interior
into scenes that a Tahoe family from the 1950s would have treasured.
Above is a view of the kitchen at left and living room at right. Note the tree decorated with handmade paper angels and garlands.
At left and below, a bowl of popcorn is being strung for the tree.
Christmas dinner is being prepared. Children play card games and listen to the radio or records on the phonograph.
Below is the bedroom with a ladder to the loft. The bathtub is from the Sierra House stage stop.
Visit the 1930s Log Cabin exhibit on Saturdays from June until the end of August or we can arrange a private tour, provided we have a volunteer available.
If you are interested in being a docent volunteer in our cabin, call the museum at 530-541-5458, leave your name and number and we'll get back to you.
